Brutal screen time analytics for macOS

v2.4.0

A local-first screen time analytics app for macOS that reads your Mac's built-in Screen Time database and surfaces your habits as dashboards, charts, calendars, and heatmaps. On-device. Private. No accounts, no servers, no telemetry.

Features

  • Overview Dashboard — Daily total, weekly trends, top apps at a glance
  • Trends View — Daily, weekly, and monthly usage patterns with Swift Charts
  • Apps & Categories — See where your time goes, with custom category mappings and bulk rule assignment
  • Calendar Views — Hour-by-hour day view, week patterns, monthly grids, and activity heatmaps
  • Session Analysis — Session duration buckets, transitions, and context-switch counts
  • Focus Streaks — Track productivity momentum across days
  • Web Browsing History — Per-domain visit counts and time-on-site across Safari, Chrome, Arc, Brave, and Edge
  • Input Tracking (opt-in) — Capture keystrokes and cursor activity locally to power per-app typing intensity, top-typed words and keys, and a per-screen cursor heatmap. Off by default; gated behind Accessibility + Input Monitoring permissions, with a global ⌥⌘P pause hotkey
  • Privacy Guards — Secure Input mode auto-redacts; per-app exclusion list (1Password, Bitwarden, Keychain Access, etc.); configurable retention window
  • Exports — CSV, JSON, and Markdown export for raw data and derived aggregates
  • Background Sync — Launch Agent refreshes the database every 4 hours, even when the app isn't running
